Kelantan Beaches

The beaches of Kelantan are among the least developed in Malaysia. In keeping with the state's general air of being lost in time, one is more likely to share the sands here with the occasional fishing boat than with other bathers.

Pantai Cahaya Bulan (Beach of Moonlight)
Formerly known as Beach of Passionate Love, this is one of the most popular spots for some refreshing coconut water and local snacks while enjoying the sea breeze. The route to the beach is dotted with thriving cottage industries. Watch batik and songket textiles being made or get yourself a beautiful pareo or scarf. Wau or the giant kite is another popular item found here. Many comfortable chalets are available at the beach.

Pantai Seri Tujuh (Beach of Seven Lagoons)
Located in the Tumpat district close to the Thai border, this pristine beach is sheltered by the longest lagoon in Malaysia. Home to the annual International Kite Festival, the beach has a variety of food and drink stalls as well as public amenities.
