The Ministry of Tourism, Malaysia wil be organising the National Water Fest Month 2007. The opening ceremony of the event will take place over a period of three days in Langkawi, Kedah beginning 6 April 2007.

The launching ceremony of the National Water Fest Month 2007 which will be held on a grand scale will be officiated by Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Di-Pertuan Agong, Tengku Mizan Zainal Abidin on 7 April 2007 at Dataran Lang, Langkawi.

This year's celebration differs from the past, as Langkawi with its 99 pristine islands provide an excellent venue and facility for water-based recreation sports
